CLAN CAMPBELL HIGHLANDER 12Y 75CL

Clan Campbell whiskey originated around 1937 when Forbes Macgregor & Company changed its name to S. Campbell & Son. This rebranding marked a fresh start, transforming the blend of malts into an excellent quality whiskey. The Duke of Argyle oversees the renowned Clan Campbell whiskey. The blend contains at least 30 percent malt from the Speyside region, with Aberlour serving as a key contributor.

Description

CLAN CAMPBELL HIGHLANDER 12Y 75CL

A 12-year-old bottle of Clan Campbell Highlander whisky. Distilled, matured and bottled by Muir Mackenzie & Co.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Slightly turfy nose with orange peel. Saddles and dried heather but also a touch of solvent. Water makes it a little more scented-geraniums, wood polish. Pretty rich but also dry.

Palate: The oak is well-polished and maybe a little too upfront. But there’s a good mix of ripe, dark fruit and walnut behind.

Finish: Fruit, then dries.
