Matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks, this single malt first appeared in 2009 after the distillery changed hands in 2008. It offers an exceptional fruity and sherried profile.
Tasting Notes
Nose: California raisins. Caramelized brown sugar. Stewed prunes. Dusty pantry. Stone fruits. Port.
Palate: Dark stone fruits. Red plums. Burnt sugars from an iron pan. lightly malted cereal grain.
Finish: Complex but quick. Not real lingering ethanol burn. Surprisingly little tannins for how long the distillate was in the wood.
