Distillery History:
Firstly, Johnnie Walker’s story began with its founder in 1820. After his father’s passing, he used the family’s farm sale to open a grocer’s shop in Kilmarnock. Then, unlike inconsistent single malts, he blended whiskies to achieve a smooth, reliable taste.
John passed away in 1857, leaving a thriving business to his son, Alexander. As Britain embraced the Industrial Revolution, Alexander seized new opportunities. Finally, with Kilmarnock’s railway connecting to global trade routes, he expanded Johnnie Walker whisky across the world.
