Description
Dalmore 15Y 1L Finished in a trifecta of carefully selected casks, the Dalmore 15 year old Single Malt Scotch is the epitome of perfectly matured and boldly flavorful whisky. First aged a minimum of 12 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks, Dalmore 15 is then dumped and individually matured for another 3 years in a three-way split of premium sherry seasoned casks, namely; Matausalem Oloroso, Apostoles, and Amoroso. The final product is then re-barreled together in choice sherry butts before being released. Composed of a mash bill containing 100% malted barley and bottled at 40% ABV, this select single malt was first released in 2007 and is an ongoing offering from Dalmore. The nose offers aromatic layers of syrupy fruit preserves, wine, cherries, and sherry. On the palate are pops of ginger zest, sherry, wine gum candy, chocolate, and hints of oak.
