Bottled in 2012, The Dalmore Tay Dram Season 2012 pays tribute to the mighty River Tay, Scotland’s largest great salmon river, also known as the ‘Silvery Tay,’ steeped in fishing legends. Dalmore crafted this expression to support four beautiful Scottish fishing rivers: The Dee, The Spey, The Tweed, and The Tay.
The Rivers Collection, which includes this bottling, honored these rivers by making donations to the Tay Foundation, Tweed Foundation, Spey Foundation, and Dee Trust when the bottles first came to market. The Dalmore distillery released this whisky as part of the Rivers Collection.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Detect oak and a hint of saltiness. Enjoy a fresh aroma with notes of butter sweets, honey, and chocolate.
Taste: Experience an oily, full-bodied profile with flavors of liquorice and honey. Taste butter sweets along with a touch of nutmeg and almond.
Finish: Appreciate a pleasant, firm finish with sweetness and a hint of liquorice. Nuts (almonds) and honey linger in a medium-long finish.
