Tasting Notes
Nose
The whisky displays an amber, almost bronze hue. On the nose, you encounter overripe tropical fruits such as apricot, papaya, and honeydew melon, with a hint of cinnamon. Despite its tropical profile, the aroma feels frosted rather than warm, reminiscent of a captivating cocktail.
Palate
The initial fruity sweetness persists and is further enhanced by sugar candy and honey notes, mingled with Christmas spices. As you continue, prunes emerge alongside cocoa, vanilla, and malt. Subsequently, clear oak tones make their appearance just in time to prevent the profile from becoming overly rich. Although the whisky subtly hints at sharpness and grain influence, these elements remain well-concealed.
Finish
The finish unfolds with warmth and an exceptionally long duration. The sensation is syrup-like, evoking caramel sweets and liquid, heated honey. Subtle hints of orange peel, sage, and anise make their presence known, adding complexity to the lingering aftertaste.
