This Scottish Whisky has 40% ABV.
I recently tried some ancient blends to mix things up from single malts. Compass Box and Kind Edward started my exploration. This whisky is next in line.
Tasting Notes
Nose: I had a rough start. I almost poured it down the sink but decided to wait. After 60 minutes in the glass, it improved. The initial awful sweet and bitter smell evolved into a more pleasant dram with nice fruity notes. I enjoy the ancient dusty aroma.
Taste: Unfortunately, the taste doesn’t match the nose. It feels watery and bittersweet, with mild oaky spices.
Finish: The finish disappoints as well. I only taste unpleasant oaky bitterness. It has a medium-long finish.
