Kavalan Solist Amontillado 70CL: Amontillado is an exquisite dry sherry that is darker than Fino and lighter than Oloroso, maturing under a cap of flor and then exposed to the air for further oxidation. Ageing Kavalan’s new-make spirit in Amontillado sherry casks, produces aromas of toasted almond, hazelnut and caramel with an elegant and long finish.

Description

Kavalan Solist Amontillado 70CL : An Amontillado-Sherry-cask matured Taiwanese single malt whisky from the King Car distillery, released as part of their Kavalan Solist range.
Tasting Notes:
Nose Vanilla-y barley, with peanut brittle and dried apricot. Subtle white chocolate notes develop.
Palate Coffee bean spiciness, leading into rich toffee, treacle and toasted oak.
Finish Peppercorn and Sherry-soaked cherries.
