Johnnie Walker XR 23Y 75CL A stunning, special edition John Walker & Sons XR 23 Year Old created from some of the finest malts and grains available, including some rare whisky from the Brora distillery. It’s a well-spiced, wintery expression that brings indulgent notes of sticky toffee, Christmas cake, alcohol-soaked raisins and subtle layers of vanilla that marry perfectly with cinnamon spice and gentle cardamom. This all comes packaged inside a stunning bottle and box that would look the part in any collection. This is a 23 years old blended whisky, including whisky from Cragganomore and Linkwood as well as the now silent Glasgow grain distillery of Port Dundas.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Blooms of orchid and peony opening in summer, spiced apple is wrapped with soft aromatic teas, before giving way to sweet coconut.
Taste:Warm, indulgent sweetness swirls with spiced vanilla, hints of dark chocolate and coconut cream, apple blossom and a whisper of sweet summer fragrance flowers briefly, before gentle wood spice and soft smoke drift across the taste buds.
Finish: A lingering finish brings warmth, hints of toffee and an elegant touch of tropical fruit.
