Glenmorangie Signet Highland Whisky offers an exceptional tasting experience. First, it showcases a unique blend of malted barleys. Glenmorangie combines two distinct types: the single estate Cadboll variety and malted chocolate barley. The latter serves as a foundation for many craft beers, enhancing the whisky’s complexity.
Moreover, Glenmorangie distills Signet twice using traditional copper-pot stills. A skilled team known as the “Sixteen Men of Tain” oversees this process. After distillation, the whisky matures in bespoke American virgin oak casks. This maturation technique significantly influences its rich character. Notably, Glenmorangie bottles Signet at 46% ABV without chill-filtration, ensuring purity and flavor.
While Glenmorangie does not specify an age statement, it incorporates some of its rarest stocks, aged between 35 to 40 years. This aging contributes depth and sophistication to the whisky.
