Glenfarclas 21Y 70CL This exceptional Glenfarclas is among the most affordable of all 21-year-old malt whiskies. It contains more smoke than other Glenfarclas. But only a subtle note in comparison.
Tasting Notes:
NOSE
Caramel and raisins through the middle, with orange pith, the beginnings of old rancio, and forest aromas of bark, earth and damp leaves.
PALATE
Thick and sweet, with less complexity than the nose, zeroing in on brown sugar, stewed orange segments and lightly spiced syrup. A drop of water opened out the body a bit, softening the syrup hit and bringing out more fruit, with apples, apricots and blackcurrant leaves, as well as a bit more crunchy caramel sweetness.
FINISH
Lingering spice and a soft citrus tang.
