GlenAllachie 12Y Pedro Ximenez 70CL The oldest of three whiskies released by GlenAllachie in mid-2019, each of having been finished in different types of cask. The 12 year old expression began ageing in American oak barrels, where it slumbered for 10 years, before being moved over to Pedro Ximénez sherry casks for the rest of its maturation. Oodles of classic sherried deliciousness to dig in to here, pairing handsomely with GlenAllachie’s top-notch spirit.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: A storm of raisins, sultanas, dark chocolate, bananas and orange peel.
Palate: Brimming with fruit cake, dark chocolate, toffee, bananas, orange peel and sweet spices.
