It is a delightfully festive single malt from Dailuaine, joining independent bottler Douglas Laing’s Premier Barrel series! This eight-year-old expression matured in a single cask that finally yielded a total outturn of 348 hand-filled decanters, with some superbly seasonal touches to the label.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Syrupy flapjack, vanilla pod, and toasted spiced fruit loaf with plenty of butter.
Palate: Creamy layers of barley, crushed almonds and cinnamon buns. Toasted oak and marzipan bring vanilla sweetness.
Finish: Orange peel, winter spice, and candied fruits, with drying herbs tailing off in the distance.
