In 1655, farmer-distiller Robert Haig faced church elders for operating his still on the Sabbath, marking the first documented distillery still in operation today.
Generations of the Haig family continued the whisky tradition with John Haig. Opening a distillery in 1824 at Cameron Bridge in Fife. By 1870, his son pioneered blending, leading to the creation of Dimple in the early 1890s.
People enjoy Dimple for its exceptional quality in exclusive bars and elegant homes. The whisky earned a Gold Medal at the 1987 International Wine and Spirits competition. Its unique triangular bottle, wrapped in wire mesh, secures the cork during rough shipments and has become a global decorative item.
The Pinch bottle was the first patented in the U.S. in 1958, protecting its distinctive design.
