It has undergone finishing in former Oloroso sherry casks after an initial maturation in Bourbon barrels. Resulting in a more complex spirit.
The final product presents notes of: Light. Floral peat. Pine. Barley sugar. Apples. Pears. Dried fruit. Sherry. Old oak. Vanilla. A hint of smoked pork. Grass. Cream. And peppery spice.
Bottled at 43% ABV, this dram offers a touch more power. And represents a step up from the standard Connemara bottling.
