BRUICHLADDICH BOURBON CASK OLD 16Y 70CL
The 16-Year-Old bottling from Bruichladdich replaces the 15-Year-Old version. The old ways of using the Jim Beam barrels repeatedly were stopped and now the malt is maturing in white, oak casks from the Ozark Mountains that have been previously used at the Buffalo Trace distillery.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Spice and mild wood mingle with bourbon notes – vanilla, oak, yellow fruit.
Taste: Spice forward and soft feel. The oak makes a clear mark here with abundant spice, but also some fruitiness and honey.
Finish: Spicy and drying finish with lingering fruit.
