BELL’S PRINCESS BEATRICE’S BIRTH 1988 75CL

Bell’s released a special collectible whisky decanter to celebrate Princess Beatrice’s birth. Must be remembered, The first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, on 8th August 1988.

United Distillers plc outlines the evolution of Bell’s Decanters. Beginning with blue glass in the 1920s. Transitioning to porcelain bells crafted by Carvendale’s in Edinburgh from the late 1940s. Then again, Royal Doulton, Spode in 1960, and Wade in 1966 continued production.

Furthermore, Arthur Bell founded Bell’s blended whisky in Perth in 1851. Starting with a small shop trading in whisky and tea. Bell’s gained global popularity with its slogan “Afore ye go,” blending Blair Athol malt and Pittyvaich from 1974 to 1993.

Moreover, Arthur Bell & Sons emerged in the mid-19th century. Gaining prominence in the Scotch industry in the 1930s by acquiring Blair Athol and Dufftown distilleries in 1932. And Inchgower from Moray Town Council four years later.

Bell’s focused on the domestic market, capturing 35% by the 1970s with Bell’s Extra Special as Scotland’s top-selling brand. Later, Guinness acquired Bell’s in 1985, followed by DCL in 1986. Diageo now produces Bell’s blends.
