Description
Balvenie Golden Cask 14Y 70CL has been matured in traditional Oak casks before spending a final period in barrels that had previously held Golden Caribbean Rum giving this dram a very rich but light and complex flavour.
The 14 Year “Golden Cask” is a limited, Travel Retail only release and is 47.5%, non chill-filtered, vs 43% chill-filtered compared to the similar Caribbean Rum Cask.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: amber.
Nose: marked with creamy caramel notes, with sweet flavours of fresh fruits.
Palate: round, with a vanilla scent joining the sweet oaky notes. The fruitines develops after a while in the glass.
Finish: quite refined, lingering.
