Glenfarclas 105: In 1968, Glenfarclas broke new ground by releasing the first cask strength single malt whisky. They named this bottling “105,” which corresponds to the British alcohol proof equivalent of 60% alcohol by volume. We now commonly refer to it as “120 proof,” which simply doubles the ABV, rather than using “105 degrees proof” or 7/4th times the alcohol by volume.

Glenfarclas 185th Anniversary: Glenfarclas released this limited edition to celebrate 185 years of legal distilling. The distillery selected some of its finest casks from across the decades to create a whisky with deep, rich, sherried flavors that stay fresh and vibrant in your glass.

Nose: The aroma is complex and oaky, featuring notes of apples, pears, and a tempting dark toffee sweetness.
Palate: Then, On the palate, it is dry and assertive. The flavors quickly evolve to reveal rich spiciness, complemented by hints of oak and sherried fruit.
Finish: In the End, despite its strength, the finish is surprisingly smooth. It offers a wonderfully warming sensation with a lingering spiciness yet remains very rounded.
