Basically, this expression starts with over 11 years of maturation in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. Following this, the whisky undergoes a secondary maturation of nearly two years in specially selected Rioja wine casks. These casks, sourced from one of Spain’s most revered wine regions, bring a unique depth and richness to the whisky.
