Description
THE GLENALLACHIE FUTURE EDITION 4Y 70CL
The GlenAllachie 4-Year-Old Future Edition celebrates Billy Walker’s 50th anniversary in the whisky industry. Basically, this release marks the first peated expression from GlenAllachie under Billy’s ownership. It also stands as the first distillate created entirely under his guidance. This whisky offers a glimpse into the future of the distillery.
The whisky uses Speyside peat from St Fergus. Moreover, it undergoes a long fermentation of 160 hours, which enhances ester production. This results in a fruity and ester-rich profile. Afterward, the whisky matures for four years in a mix of ex-bourbon, ex-rye, and virgin oak casks. These casks contribute to the whisky’s complexity. The peatiness combines with the sweet oak influence to create a balanced flavor.
Bottled at 60.2% ABV, the whisky retains its natural strength. It contains no added color or chill filtration. This preserves the whisky’s true character. It has an amber hue that reflects its rich flavors.
