The Dalmore 15-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch exemplifies expertly matured and boldly flavorful whisky.
This expression starts with a minimum of 12 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks.
After this initial aging, the whisky matures for an additional 3 years in a trifecta of premium sherry-seasoned casks: Matausalem Oloroso, Apostoles, and Amoroso. Dalmore then re-barrels the whisky in choice sherry butts before its release.
Composed of 100% malted barley and bottled at 40% ABV, the Dalmore 15 first appeared in 2007 and remains a staple offering. The nose reveals aromatic layers of syrupy fruit preserves, wine, cherries, and sherry. On the palate, taste the pops of ginger zest, sherry, wine gum candy, chocolate, and hints of oak.
