THE ARRAN 1997 – THE ROWAN TREE 70CL
It is the second edition of the limited “”Icons of Arran”” series. The whiskey matured for 12 years in 10 Oloroso Sherry Butts from 1997 to 2010. The distillery bottled it at an alcohol content of 46.0 percent by volume. As a natural whiskey, it comes uncolored and unfiltered. In total there are just 6,000 bottles of this rarity available to buy.
Tasting Notes:
Nosing: The Arran whiskey is mild in the nose. It brings notes of dark chocolate. Cherries are present. Ginger rounds off the aroma spicy.
Tasting: The Arran The Rowan Tree is creamy on the tongue. It tastes intensely of sherry and dried fruits. Spices and citrus are present.
Finish: The whiskey has a long-lasting and dry finish. It leaves behind the spice of pepper.
