DIAGEO 2021 SPECIAL RELEASES FULL SET
Diageo unveils its 2021 Scotch Whisky Special Releases Collection, titled “Legends Untold.” Firstly, this eagerly awaited collection features eight exceptional whiskies and introduces, for the first time, an augmented reality experience that reveals the untold stories of the distilleries in a captivating way.
Then, curated by Master Blender Dr. Craig Wilson, the 2021 collection showcases whiskies from Scotland’s most legendary distilleries. Consequently, it brings mythical creatures from ancient fables to life, reflecting the unique character of each distillery. Moreover, the collection highlights hidden gems scattered across Scotland’s lochs and rugged highlands.
The annual release, therefore, emphasizes the diversity of Scotland’s finest whiskies. Also, renowned digital illustrator Ken Taylor has created detailed illustrations of the mythical creatures, drawing inspiration from his pop culture artwork.
Furthermore, activated via an on-pack QR code, the experience begins with a narration of each cask-strength Single Malt’s story. Enthusiasts, in turn, will enjoy a mixed reality tasting experience designed to captivate their senses and bring Scotland’s essence to their homes.

Mortlach 13-Year-Old: Dark and robust from Speyside’s Dufftown distillery.
Talisker 8-Year-Old: Briny and smoky, embodying fire-breathing qualities.
Royal Lochnagar 16-Year-Old: A rare Highland expression with refreshing springtime notes.
Lagavulin 12-Year-Old: Fiercely intense, perfectly balancing sweet and salty flavors.
Lagavulin 26-Year-Old: The crown jewel, finished in Pedro Ximenez/Oloroso casks.
