Description
THE MACALLAN RUBY 70CL was the top of the 1824 range but has now been discontinued.
It has been matured solely in 1st Fill Spanish Oak casks and some PX sherry casks are used.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Treacle tart, creamy and nutty sherry wood, red berries, mixed peel, dried fruit and some cherry wine notes.
Palate: Spiced nuts, sweet spice, buttery oak, lots of chewy sherry wood, praline, christmas cake, treacle tart, figs, dates and dark honey.
Finish: Aromatic oak, soft ginger spice, orange marmalade, rich chocolate truffles and lasting sherry wood sweetness.
