The distillery, nestled in the Valley of the Rocks (Gleann Aileachaidh), is known for producing rich, complex whiskies. Under the leadership of Master Distiller Billy Walker, the distillery has undergone significant changes. Basically, bringing a distinct new character to its expressions.
Moreover, Billy Walker, with over 50 years of blending experience, oversees the whisky’s creation. After GlenAllachie changed ownership in 2017, Walker handpicked a limited selection of casks for this 18-year-old release, showcasing the depth of the distillery’s craftsmanship. Furthermore, the whisky matures in a combination of American oak, Oloroso sherry, and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, allowing the whisky to develop rich, robust flavors.
