Basically, this limited-edition whisky follows the success of the first batch, captivating whisky enthusiasts worldwide. With only 2,000 bottles available, it is a rare and highly sought-after expression. Chiefly, bottled at a cask strength of 50.8% ABV, it carries the distinct characteristics of GlenAllachie’s refined house style.
Moreover, Billy Walker meticulously selected the casks for this release from the distillery’s extensive inventory of over 50,000 maturing casks. He chose six Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, along with two American virgin oak barrels. These casks, with vintages from 1990 and 1991, bring together the richness of sherry and the boldness of toasted American oak. Therefore, the result is a whisky that blends the best of both worlds.
Tasting Notes
