Jura 30Y 70CL This fabulous bottling from Jura is the 30 year old, Camas an Staca. It is a beautifully complex single malt, scotch whisky. On the nose, there is an instant overwhelming but enjoyable spice aroma, once you get acclimatised there are aromas of warmed honey, toasted oak and vanilla mingle throughout, with subtle notes of dried fruit, ginger and a hint of sea salt.
On the palate, the flavours are deep, rich and multifaceted, with a rich and velvety mouthfeel and packed with layers of dark chocolate, espresso, caramelised brown sugar, and a gentle smokiness that lingers in the background, that spice on the nose is also evident on the palate. The finish is long and warming, with a pleasant sweetness that invites another sip.
