The Double Matured refers to spirts being matured in Port and I presume other casks. Was released for the Japanese market.
A long but light stewed apple or fig flavor, a little lemon juice, citrus peel. A magical taste of soy milk, the spice that exploded before, black pepper, heavy fennel, licorice, five spice powder. The alcohol content is slightly lower, which is a pity. Finish: Black pepper, orange peel, ginger, soy milk, lactic acid, very heavy but pleasant woodiness.
