JOHNNIE WALKER BLUE LABEL HOUSE SINGAPORE THE CASKS EDITION 1L (Slightly Dirty Box)

Introducing the Johnnie Walker Blue Label House Singapore The Casks Edition. Basically, this exclusive 1-liter bottle holds a remarkable ABV of 55.8%. The unique porcelain design features stunning artwork by Becky Bolton and Louise Chappell from Good Wives and Warriors. This edition debuted in 2016, specifically crafted for the Asian market.

Moreover, Johnnie Walker boasts a rich heritage. The brand began with John “Johnnie” Walker, who sold whisky in his Ayrshire grocer’s shop. His passion for quality whisky initiated a legacy that continues today. After Walker’s death in 1857, his son, Alexander Walker, and grandson, Alexander Walker II, propelled the brand to greatness. Their dedication established Johnnie Walker as a household name in whisky.

Initially, whisky sales represented only eight percent of the firm’s income. However, as the brand grew, this figure soared to 90-95%. Before 1860, selling blended whisky was illegal. John Walker overcame this challenge by offering various single malts, notably Walker’s Kilmarnock. In 1865, Alexander Walker created their first blend, Walker’s Old Highland, marking a pivotal moment in whisky history.

Furthermore, in 1870, Alexander introduced the iconic square bottle. This innovative design allowed more bottles to fit in a given space, reducing breakage. The angled label, applied at 24 degrees, ensured better visibility for the text. From 1906 to 1909, John’s grandsons expanded the line and introduced color names to the whisky range.

In 1908, the brand underwent a rebranding. Walker’s Kilmarnock Whiskies became Johnnie Walker Whisky. The memorable slogan, “Born 1820—Still going Strong!” emerged during this era. The Striding Man logo, created by illustrator Tom Browne, also debuted, honoring the founder’s legacy.

In 1925, the company joined Distillers Company. Guinness acquired Distillers in 1986, leading to a merger with Grand Metropolitan in 1997, which formed Diageo. Today, Johnnie Walker stands as a symbol of excellence in whisky. The Blue Label House Singapore The Casks Edition exemplifies this commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
