This collection contains four 50cl bottles, each with 40% ABV. Moreover, its artwork connects collectors with the legendary world of the Shan Hai Jing, or Classic of Mountains and Seas.
John Walker founded Johnnie Walker in 1820 in Kilmarnock, Scotland. Since then, the brand has grown from a grocery shop into the world’s number one Scotch whisky brand. Today, whisky lovers enjoy its expressions in more than 180 countries. Furthermore, its square bottle, Striding Man logo and six generations of master blenders reflect its commitment to character and quality.
This limited edition celebrates four mythical creatures from ancient Chinese stories. Each design highlights a different figure and its symbolic meaning. Luwu, the divine guardian of Kunlun Mountain, has a tiger-like body and nine tails. Meanwhile, Dangkang represents abundance and a prosperous harvest. Kaiming also guards Kunlun Mountain, with a tiger-like body and nine human-like heads. Finally, Laihuang adds another distinctive creature from the Shan Hai Jing tradition. Together, these figures evoke protection, prosperity, strength, transformation and good fortune.
The collection includes one 500ml bottle of each expression: Luwu, Dangkang, Kaiming and Laihuang. As a result, the four designs create a unified presentation while each mythical character retains its identity.
Inside every bottle, Blue Label offers depth and refinement. On the nose, honey, vanilla, dried fruits and orange zest mingle with gentle smoke. On the palate, a rich, velvety texture brings together hazelnuts, caramel, dark chocolate, sherried fruit, sweet spices and ripe orchard fruits. Finally, cocoa, oak, warming spice and lingering smoke shape an exceptionally long, elegant finish.
