GLENFIDDICH OUR BOURBON BARREL RESERVE 14Y 70CL
A fabulous 14-year-old expression from Glenfiddich! Overseen by the distillery’s Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, the whisky is matured in ex-bourbon casks, before being treated to a finishing period in charred new American oak barrels all the way from The Kelvin Cooperage in Louisville, Kentucky. The result is a fabulously fruity number, with a good oaken vanilla Kentucky kick!
Tasting Notes
Nose: A big noseful of oaky vanilla with wafts of candied lemon and orange, apple tart, burnt sugar, and cask char.
Palate: Sweet caramel, toffee apples, and creamy vanilla tangle with spicy, toasted oak, cinnamon, and candied oranges.
Finish: Warming woody spice, sweet butterscotch, toffee popcorn, and silky sweet malt.
