Description

THE FAMOUS GROUSE HIGHLAND DECANTER 75CL

Matthew Gloag & Sons launched The Famous Grouse in 1896 alongside The Grouse Brand. It was the third blend registered by the company, following Brig o’ Perth the previous year. Priced the lowest, The Famous Grouse quickly surpassed the others in popularity and earned its official trademark in 1905.

Today, it ranks as one of the most recognizable names in Scotch whisky. Under Highland Distillers’ ownership, it became the first blend to have its own visitor center at the Glenturret distillery. The Gloag family sold the brand to Highland Distillers in 1970, and Edrington now owns it. Despite Glenturret’s sale in 2019, The Famous Grouse continues to enjoy high popularity.

The elegant Wade Porcelain decanter features 24-carat gold gilding and showcases “Summer in the Highlands” by artist Stanley Todd.
