The 2015 bottling of Flaming Heart blended malt from Compass Box packs a powerful punch with its smoky and flavorful profile. This expression features prominent notes of Caol Ila, Clynelish, and Deanston, along with a few unnamed whiskies that add complexity. Compass Box produced 15,050 bottles of this vibrant blend.

Description

COMPASS BOX FLAMING HEART 70CL

Compass Box brings the 2022 Edition of its Flaming Heart expressions. The seventh in the range, this blended malt Scotch whisky is limited to 9,606 bottles. And combines a symphony of liquid, including previous Compass Box big hitters. Peat Monster Arcana and Flaming Heart 2018, as well as offerings from Laphroaig and Glen Elgin.

With the blend resting in toasted French oak casks for over five years. Naturally colored and non-chill filtered. This is a loud, fruity, smoke machine. Bottled up at 48.9% ABV.

Tasting Notes

Nose: rich, smoldering embers, with toasted oak, gingerbread, and twists of waxy lemon.

Palate: Meaty smoke, sizzling bacon, caramelized maple, with rich baking spices.

Finish: Savoury smoke lingers, with peppery spice building.
