This special 40-year-old Bunnahabhain from 1978, bottled by Signatory Vintage in 2018, celebrates their 30th Anniversary.
Distilled in 1978, the whisky aged for 40 years in refill sherry butt #2587. Signatory Vintage bottled it in 2018 at a natural cask strength of 47.8%, with a yield of 484 bottles.
Like other Signatory 30th Anniversary releases, this 1978 Bunnahabhain comes in a black lacquer box.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Hints of tropical fruits, banana, berries, creamy toffee, vanilla, rich nuttiness and delicate sweet oak.
Palate: Sweet malt, creamy caramel, vanilla, creamy berries, with hints of toasted nuts, tropical fruit, banana and pineapple.
Finish: Long sweet and fruity.
