Balvenie Tun 1509 batch4 70CL brings together whisky procured from 23 single casks, 13 traditional whisky casks and 10 sherry butts. The whole lot marries and stitches together for five months in the famous Tun 1509, with the result being a malty, rich and luxurious dram.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Spiced fruit chutney, caramelised apple, sponge cake with honey.
Palate: Oat biscuits with a drizzle of melted dark chocolate, black pepper, herbaceous oak and buttery shortcrust pastry.
Finish: Ginger snaps, Maltesers, fried dough and new leather.
