It was carefully crafted by the Whisky Mastery Team to showcase the role of ex-bourbon casks in the Macallan portfolio. It perfectly marries a light, fruity sweetness imparted by the ex-bourbon barrels with rich, fruity oakiness from the sherry seasoned American Oak casks.

Macallan Classic Cut 2021 70CL has been matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and American oak ex-sherry casks, creating a fruity, gingery character. Aromas of orange zest, fresh vanilla, ginger and marzipan fill the nose, complemented by notes of fresh oak, gingerbread, vanilla custard, cinnamon and ginger throughout the palate.
