Description

GLENFIDDICH OUR MALT MASTER’S EDITION 70CL

This non-age-statement whisky spent 6 to 8 years in ex-Bourbon barrels, then 4 to 6 years in sherry casks. That’s a long time in sherry, which is why you might not really peg this as a roughly 10-year-old Scotch when you crack it open.

Earth and soaked wood aromas blend with deep vanilla. Flavors are sharp with spice and round with plum. A hint of toasted almonds gives way to a silky-smooth finish. A complete original, from our malt master, Brian Kinsman.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Damp earth and whisky-soaked wood intertwine with deep vanilla and smoky embers.
Taste: Rich with complex flavors layered by double-maturation. Sherbet and zinginess slowly turn to spice. Tempting plum and cherry follow, with hints of toasted almonds and fruit cake.
Finish: Silky and smooth.
