ROYAL SALUTE PROJECT SILK 50CL

$428

ROYAL SALUTE PROJECT SILK 50CL. Royal Salute is a blended Scotch from Chivas. Its origins trace back to the coronation of Elizabeth II. Each year, they mix eighty-eight casks with exceptionally long finishes. They combine these with eighty-eight casks of existing Royal Salute. This creates the next batch. This ongoing process forms an ‘eternal reserve.’ This version of the series is called ‘Project Silk.’

Description

Royal Salute Project Silk 50CL:

Chivas Regal launched its first blend in 1909. It quickly gained popularity in the US. Prohibition halted its success ten years later.

Canadian distillers, Seagram, targeted Chivas Brothers during this time.
They acquired the firm in 1949 and added Strathisla to their portfolio.

Seagram built three more distilleries and acquired Campbell Distillers and The Glenlivet Distillers. This positioned them as one of Scotland’s largest whisky companies. The Seagram empire collapsed in the early 2000s.

Pernod-Ricard acquired Chivas Brothers and Allied Domecq, which included Ballantine’s.

Chivas now produces two of the top three selling blends in the world.

Its distillery portfolio, with Glenlivet as the flagship, rivals only Diageo.
